OdysseyGuessr Game Modes Compared: Classic, Easy, Zoom, Flash and Blur

October 5, 2026 · 3 min read

OdysseyGuessr has five game modes, and all of them also work in multiplayer. Here is what each does and who it suits.

Classic

The normal game with all settings available: round count, optional timer and any kingdom. This is the best mode for steady practice and the one most players use.

Easy

Only easy, well-known places. Easy mode is a good way to build confidence if you are new. The idea came from a community member.

Zoom

The screenshot starts heavily zoomed in and you can zoom out for a hint. Panning is locked, and the results screen shows how many hints you used. See the Zoom Mode guide.

Flash

You see the screenshot only briefly, then it goes black. You choose how long it is visible, in seconds. See the Flash Mode guide.

Blur

The screenshot is blurred, and you choose the strength from 1 to 100. See the Blur Mode guide.

Which should you pick?

  • New to the game: Easy, then Classic.
  • Want to learn maps: Classic, with no timer.
  • Want a challenge: Zoom, Flash or Blur.
  • Playing with friends: any mode in a lobby, and let the host pick.

Daily Play always uses the same five places for everyone, so use it to compare with friends.

FAQ
