OdysseyGuessr has five badges: Creator, Moderator, Legend, YouTuber and Gamer. They sit next to your nickname on the leaderboard and in online matches, and you can hold several at once. Only two of them can still be reached by a normal player, and one of those only takes playing time. This guide lists what each badge needs, which are closed and how to reach the open ones. The short version also lives on the badges page.
Quick overview
- Creator: reserved for the account of the person who built the game. Not obtainable.
- Moderator: given by hand to trusted players who help review submitted places.
- Legend: automatic for accounts created before August 20, 2026. That date has passed, so no new Legends can appear.
- YouTuber: given by hand to creators who publish OdysseyGuessr videos.
- Gamer: automatic once your all-time total reaches 5,000,000 points.
Gamer: the badge everyone can earn
Gamer is the only badge that depends purely on how much you play. Every round you finish while signed in adds its points to your all-time total, whether it came from singleplayer, multiplayer or Daily Play. When the total reaches 5,000,000 the badge appears on its own, with nothing to claim.
Guest rounds are not added to an account, so sign in before you start. If you play as a guest you only get a limited number of free games per day anyway.
What 5,000,000 points really means
A round is worth at most 5,000 points. So 5,000,000 points equal 1,000 perfect rounds. Nobody scores perfect every round, so use your own average instead. At 3,000 points per round you need about 1,667 rounds, which is roughly 333 five-round games. At 4,000 per round it is 1,250 rounds, or 250 games.
How to get there faster
- Raise your average. A better average per round is worth more than extra games. See how to score 5,000 in OdysseyGuessr.
- Play Daily Play every day. It is five rounds a day and it builds your streak.
- Use longer games. A custom game with more rounds adds points without extra menu time.
- Study one kingdom at a time with the kingdom guides.
Legend: closed for new players
The Legend badge was an early-supporter badge. Any account created before August 20, 2026 received it automatically. Since that date is behind us, an account created today cannot earn it. If your account is older than that date you should already see it next to your name.
YouTuber: make a video, then ask
The YouTuber badge is given by hand. Publish a video about OdysseyGuessr, whether a playthrough, a challenge or a guide. Then send the link and your OdysseyGuessr nickname through the contact page. The team checks it and grants the badge. For ideas, read OdysseyGuessr for streamers and YouTubers.
Moderator: help review places
Moderators review the places other players submit. The badge is given by hand to players the team trusts. You cannot apply with a form, but you can show you are a good fit: submit clear, accurate places, report broken or wrong screenshots, and then reach out via the contact page if you want to help.
Creator: not obtainable
Creator marks the account of the person who built OdysseyGuessr. It cannot be earned, requested or transferred.
Is the flame next to my name a badge?
No. The flame and day count on the leaderboard show your Daily Play streak, which is separate from the five badges.
