How submitting a place works

OdysseyGuessr grows thanks to its community. Every signed-in player can contribute a screenshot from Super Mario Odyssey: choose the image, select the kingdom, and click the exact spot on the kingdom map where the screenshot was taken. Once an admin or moderator has reviewed your submission and approved it, your place joins the pool of locations that every player can get in single-player rounds, Daily Play and multiplayer matches.

What makes a great submission

• A clear, in-game screenshot with recognizable details such as landmarks, textures and colors.
• A precisely placed pin on the correct kingdom map — accuracy is what makes the round fair.
• A place that is not already in the game, so players keep seeing fresh locations.
• No watermarks, overlays, filters or edits, and only screenshots you took yourself.

Easy places and difficulty

You can mark a place as easy when it shows an obvious, well-known spot. Easy places are great for newcomers, while trickier corners of a kingdom keep experienced players challenged. After you submit

Your submission stays pending until it has been reviewed, and you will get an email when the decision is made. Open your profile menu and choose My places to see how other players score on the places you added. The more places you contribute, the more everyone can enjoy the game. Curious how you rank?
